Privacy policy

Mosaira is operated by Prism Foundry LLC. This explains what we collect, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do with it. The service is currently offered in the United States only.

What we collect

Because you gave it to us

• Account: your email address. We sign you in with a link sent to it, so there is no password to store and we never have one.
• Profile: your name, profile photo, and the city, state and ZIP code you enter. If you hire, your business name, logo, description and industry. If you make, your business name and service listings.
• Listings and projects: descriptions, budgets, timelines, categories, and the location you attach to them.
• Uploads: profile photos, business logos, service images, and project attachments.
• Messages: what you write to other people here, and who you wrote it to.

Because of how the service works

• Payment details, handled by Stripe.Card numbers and bank details go to Stripe directly and we never see or store them. To get paid, makers complete Stripe’s identity checks, which may require a government ID or tax number. That goes to Stripe, not to us. We keep the amounts, dates and status of transactions.
• Approximate location. We turn the place you enter into map coordinates so distance search works. Listings shown on the map are deliberately placed imprecisely rather than at an exact address.
• Technical records. Standard server logs, including IP address, kept for security and debugging.

Cookies

We set cookies for one reason: to keep you signed in. They are strictly necessary for the service to work, and there is nothing to opt out of without also losing the ability to stay logged in.

We don’t use analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party tracking pixels. We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t track you across other websites. That’s why you won’t see a cookie consent banner here. If that ever changes, we’ll update this page and ask before setting anything that isn’t essential.

Who else sees it

We use these companies to run the service. They only get what they need to do their part.

• Supabase — stores the database, your uploads, and handles sign-in.
• Stripe — payments, payouts, and identity checks for makers.
• Resend — sends the emails, including your sign-in links and notifications.
• Mapbox — turns places into coordinates and draws the maps.
• Vercel — hosts the site.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to investigate fraud or a threat to someone’s safety. If the business is ever sold or merged, information may transfer with it.

What other people can see

Some of what you enter is public by design. Your display name, photo, business details, service listings and open projects are visible to anyone browsing, including people who aren’t signed in. The city and state you enter are shown; your ZIP code is used for distance search and is not displayed.

Messages are visible to the people in the conversation. Once you’re working together, the other party sees the contact details needed to get the work done.

How long we keep it

Your profile and uploads stay until you delete them or close your account. Records of completed transactions are kept longer, because tax law and payment rules require it and because they may be needed if a dispute comes up later. That means closing your account removes your profile, but not the record that a particular payment happened.

What you can ask for

Email hello@joinmosaira.com and you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete your account and its contents, subject to the records we have to keep. You can also edit most of it yourself from your profile.

You can also delete your account yourself, from your profile. That removes your name, photo, location, business details and uploads, and takes your listings down. Records of completed payments stay, as described above.

We’ll respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for asking.

Children

The service is for people 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Security

Access to data is restricted at the database level, so one account can’t read another’s private records. There are no passwords to steal, since sign-in is by emailed link. Payment credentials never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t promise otherwise.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we’ll update the date above and tell you by email or in the product.
