Mosaira hosts images and descriptions uploaded by the people who use it. We respect copyright, and we remove material that infringes it. If you think something here is yours and shouldn't be, tell us and we'll act.
Reporting infringement
Send a notice to our designated agent, below. To be valid under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, it has to include all of these:
- Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
- Identification of the work you say is infringed. If several, a list.
- Identification of the material you want removed, and enough detail for us to find it. A link to the page is best.
- Your name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use isn’t authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act for them.
Leaving something out means we may not be able to act on it. Be careful what you send: under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for the costs and legal fees that misrepresentation causes.
What happens next
If the notice is valid we remove or disable the material, usually promptly, and tell the person who posted it what was removed and why.
If your material was removed
You can send a counter-notice to the same agent. It has to include your signature; identification of the removed material and where it was; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and your name, address and telephone number, along with consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district, or if you’re outside the United States, for any district where we may be found.
We’ll forward your counter-notice to whoever complained. If they don’t file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the material.
Repeat infringers
We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright. We decide what counts as repeated, taking the circumstances into account.
